My Experience With Underarm Whitening Cream:

As I already mentioned, I love the fragrance of Underarm Whitening Cream and that made me try this product too. It is very mild and refreshing. It has Glutathione product in it, which has the ability to brighten/lighten the skin and prevent further hyper-pigmentation. Many of the skin lightening products have Glutathione as a main ingredient and this falls under the same category.

It is gentle on the armpits and doesn't cause any redness and irritation.  The product claims to give whiter underarm within 10 days and it does. It made my armpits white and bright as mentioned. And yes it did make my armpits soft and smooth. Overall, this is a good underarm product.

Pros Of Underarm Whitening Cream:
  • Sturdy packaging which is easy to carry
  • Doesn't leave any white patch on the skin
  • Contains Glutathione which is good for hyper-pigmentation
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Gentle on the skin

Cons Of Underarm Whitening Cream:

  • You can only purchase it online.
  • You have to do this as a routine to achieve white underarm for 10 days.

Rating:

5/5

Final Note:

I will buy Underarm Whitening Cream as it made my underarm whiter and smoother. Its fragrance is long lasting and mild. I would definitely give a thumbs up to this!

Fashionista Couture Eyeshadow Review

Fashionista Couture Eyeshadow Review

Hello Everyone!

How are you all?

The product we will be looking at today is a baked eyeshadow called 'Couture' by Fashionista. This pretty eyeshadow is a shimmery pink with gold undertones when applied but in the pan the pink is broken up by gold, brown and white strips. It also has some very small, sparse flecks of gold glitter. This eyeshadow is so pretty to look at is it almost disappointing to use it because as soon as you swatch it the stripes pretty much disappear and it just turns into a pink shadow.

This eyeshadow is very well pigmented, blendable and very easy to build up. In fact, I think it is better to use more of this eyeshadow rather than less because if you use to little it does blend away into nothing. The complete opposite is true, though if you use a good amount, it gives you lovely even coverage and is nice to use both on your eye lid or crease.

Although the packaging is pretty basic and isn't really anything special if you look a little closer you realise that you can pop out each eyshadow and actually build your own palette (I've seen a four pan available for £5.00 in two different colours). I love that these eyeshadow's are so versatile and the palette is build in such a way that you can easily see the shade name too. I will definitely be putting one of these together so keep your eyes peeled for a blog post!

Overall, I'm really impressed with this eyeshadow I think it's a really bargain at on £4.00 at Superdrug. I would love to try some more products by Fashionista.

Kiss Air Candle Review // Sun-Kissed Raspberry

Kiss Air Candle Review // Sun-Kissed Raspberry

Hello Everyone!

If you follow my blog and twitter regularly you will know I am a big lover of candies. Today's review will be looking at two candles from the company Kiss Air Candles (what a lovely name!).

Kiss Air Candles are a company based in Cambridgeshire in the UK who make handmade candles using natural soybean (vegetable) wax and additional fragrance oils. Anything handmade really appeals to me as it feels special and luxurious and these candles are no exception!

There are a few different scents available, namely:

Sun-kissed Raspberry
Lavender
Clean Cotton
Chocolate Cake
Soft Leather
Vanilla Pod
Cut Grass
Jasmine Freesia
Citrus Crush

The ones I have tried are the Sun-Kissed Raspberry - I just couldn't resist the name! And also Chocolate Cake.

Sun-Kissed Raspberry came in a gorgeous, small, gold tin with a pink paper wrapping detailing a signature bow and heart design. This is a really nice sized candle, not too small and not too bulky.

When first opening the lid of this tin and revealing the candle I was surprised by the colour. I was expecting your usual pink/red type shade but was pleasantly surprised by a clean, white candle instead. I actually like that this candle is a neutral colour as it is different from others such as the Yankee Candles which I love but have sometimes been put off when they don't fit my colour scheme.

As you can imagine, the fragrance of the candle is sweet and fruity and admittedly I have picked it up numerous times on passing just to have a smell of it when it's not burning. This scent reminds me of summer.. it's just gorgeous! My boyfriend has even commented on how nice it is which is quite something.

The natural Soybean wax means the candles burn cleaner, for longer and have a stronger scent when compared to paraffin candles. This is very appealing because you want to make the most of your candle so the longer it lasts the better. I also find the smell lingers in the room for quite a while after the candle stops burning too so you can still enjoy the lovely aroma. This size candle burns for up to 30 hours and are priced at £8.50.

Conversely, Chocolate Cake was a standard size tea light and although small, had a scent so deliciously sweet and strong I smelt it as soon as I opened the parcel. This fragrance is described as either 'you love it or hate it' and the verdict is.... I love it. I'm surprised, as food smelling candles have never really appealed to me but this candle has the distinctive smell of chocolate cake which smells good enough to eat and not sickly. I'm not sure if I would want a large sized candle in this scent as I do prefer more floral, fruity smells but I would definitely purchase it in tea light size. I love that the scent is unique and it has definitely been a talking point when I have shown it to friends and family.

Each tea light burns for up to 6 hours and are available in packs of six for £5.00. You can even mix and match your scents which is great! The above one is a sample so the actual tea lights are bigger, coloured and have clear tea light cups. At the moment you get a free sample tea light with every purchase so you can get a taster of a different scent.. how immense is that?!

I have found that both these candles have an intense fragrance which is long lasting well after it has finished burning but at the same time isn't overpowering. I would love to try more of these candles and will definitely be getting another Sun-Kissed Raspberry scent. This is the point where I was about to name the top scents I would like to purchase but it's just too hard to decide! .... roll on pay day!

If you would like to find out more about these gorgeous candles, take a look at the >Kiss Air Candles Website or follow them on twitter (>@KissAirCandles). There is a special offer on at the moment and there are also accessories, wax melts and gift sets available.

What fragrance would you pick?

Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus Hand Cream

Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus Hand Cream

I hope you are all well and having a good week! Today’s post will be a short and sweet review on the Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus Hand Cream. This is yet another hand cream I picked up on impulse but this time it wasn’t at the till. When I was buying my miniatures for my Portugal trip last month they were on a three for £3.00 offer at Superdrug so I was determined to group what I bought to make the most of the deal. I struggled to find a third product until I spotted this hand cream and as I wasn’t a fan of my current one I thought, why not?

The packaging of the Nivea Q10 hand cream is small but powerful. The bold use of the yellow and blue combination makes it stand out and the font is strong. I also like that the 30ml squeezy bottle is the perfect size for my hand bag so it is easy to take with me or store without taking up too much space.

Nivea Q10 is your typical lotion formula which absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it feeling nourished and smelling gorgeously perfumed. You only need to use a little, so this product goes a long way and it doesn’t leave a residue on your skin, oil or grease. As for the age defying aspects, I can’t really comment but maybe in thirty years time or so I will be grateful for using it due to the anti wrinkle claim… we’ll see! In any case, it won’t do any harm to be using this kind of product now and if it does help fight the first signs of aging even better!

I love this hand cream and I will definitely be repurchasing it. It is also a absolutely bargain at only £1.01 at Boots

What do you think of this hand cream? Which one is your favourite?

REN's No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm Review

REN's No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm Review

Today's review is on a skin care product I have been using since February...REN's No.1 Purity cleansing balm.

This cleansing balm is available in both a tub or tube depending on where you buy it but only while stocks last. Let me explain. I have the tube version which makes it easy to control how much product you want but as the product is quite stiff you do have to make an effort to squeeze the bottle to get it out. Personally I don't find this a problem because it really isn't that difficult and it is hygienic but the people at REN have changed the packaging to a tub so it is easier to use. Neither packaging is bulky so it doesn't take up much space when travelling.

The balm itself is very thick but quickly turns into an oil when you warm it. Although the packaging says to use the palm of your hands to do this I prefer to use just my finger tips as I find the product much easier to apply and it is less wasteful. Once warmed, you massage this gentle product into your skin for a couple of minutes which is soothing and relaxing. Following this, you add a little warm water to encourage the oil to emulsify into a rich milk. I love this stage of the application because it makes my face feel so fresh and clean. To finish I use the muslin cloth which is included to gently remove the product from my face before rinsing thoroughly with warm water to remove the rest.

The process described above may sound long to some people but it takes less than five minutes and the results are definitely worth it. After using this cleansing balm my skin is left smooth, soft and moisturised and unlike some other cleansers I have used it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry, tight or uncomfortable. This product also doesn't leave a film over your skin so you aren't left feeling oily which means it is a product that can easily be used day and night (although I just do the latter).

Unfortunately, there are two downsides to this product. The first is that the cloth gets dirty very quickly and therefore if you are going to use it daily you have to find an alternative. This isn't a big issue and when I'm not using the muslin cloth I just use a makeup wipe which works okay. Secondly, I find that this balm can sting my eyes a little when removing my eye makeup. It isn't particularly painful, uncomfortable or long lasting so I still use this product to remove my eye makeup (it works very well) but it is something to be wary of if your are sensitive in that area.

To finish on a positive note, this silky rose-infused cleansing balm smells gorgeous and leaves your skin feeling soothed, balanced, purified and glowing. It melts away dirt and makeup (even waterproof mascara according to claim - I haven't tried it as I don't like this type of mascara), conditions your lashes and eyebrows and protects your skin against everyday pollution and environmental stress. The other ingredients include:

Roman Chamomile oil and Pink Violet leaf extract to calm redness and soothe the skin
Rose oil is known for its stress relieving aroma therapeutic properties
Prebiotic Oligosaccharides protects and maintains the skin’s defence barrier by supporting the good bacteria
Lecithin helps retain moisture in the skin

(please note the information in the above bullet points was taken from the REN website)

This product is also suitable for ages and skin types, vegans and vegetarians.
The REN No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm is available at a variety of places including Selfridges for £23.00 (100ml), REN for £30.00 (150ml) or Marks and Spencer for £23.00 (100ml) and Sephora for $48.00 (100ml). I love this product and it is by far the best cleansing balm I have tried... I actually enjoy taking my makeup off when I use this!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation Review

Hello Everyone!

There has been a lot of love in the blogosphere for Rimmel's Wake Me Up Foundation and I was one of the people who loved it when I first used it but since, I have discovered another foundation by Rimmel - Match Perfection, which I actually prefer.

The Match Perfection foundation uses smart-tone technology so the formulation adapts to your skin tone to help you get a flawless finish. I find it is light - medium coverage and is buildable but may not suitable for anyone who is looking for a full coverage foundation. It covers small blemishes and redness well but you will need to use a concealer with it.

The finish of this foundation is lovely. It is neither matte or 'glowly' but is something in between which gives you a natural, slightly dewy look most probably due to the 'Sapphire Radiance' in this product - how nice does that sound?! This foundation is lovely to work with as it doesn't dry to quickly and is easy to blend into your skin whether it be using your finger tips or a brush. I would describe the formulation as having a medium consistency and it also contains SPF 18. I find this product gives you good coverage but at the same time looks natural instead of cakey which is exactly what I look for in a foundation - I don't like to look like I've got lots of makeup on.

Despite this, I would maybe avoid this product if you have oily skin as my more oily areas (such as my nose) do get quite shiny throughout the day when using this foundation. I combat this by using shine control papers and/or powder which works fine but this product is probably best for people who have dry or combination skin (I am the latter).

This product boasts quite some claim - that is lasts all day and unfortunately I would disagree. Without primer or setting spray it doesn't last long at all but when teamed with a good primer and setting spray it makes all the difference.

I really like the packaging of this foundation as the glass bottle and sapphire blue lid make it feel and look much more expensive than it is. The pump also works perfectly for you to control how much product you want to dispense so you get minimal wastage.

The downside of this product is the colour range as it is very small and doesn't cater for people which darker skin tones. The only shades available are (in light to dark order):

010 Light Porcelain
100 Ivory
101 Classic Ivory
103 True Ivory
200 Soft Beige
201 Classic Beige
303 True Nude
350 Warm Honey
402 Bronze

I have colour 100 ivory and it works very well for my skin tone. This shade definitely gives me a more natural finish and when compared to the Wake Me Up Foundation as it isn't as orange toned.

This has been my go to foundation for the last month or so and despite the downsides I mentioned above I do think it is a good quality drugstore product. I would definitely repurchased this and have even bought it for my mum to try!

This foundation is available at Superdrug for £6.99.

Have you tried this foundation? What is your favourite drugstore foundation?

Benefit Stay Flawless Primer Review

Benefit Stay Flawless Primer Review

I hope you're all well. Last week I was lucky enough to attend the Benefit Stay Flawless event in London which was for the launch of a brand new primer. Today's post will be a review of that primer but if you want to also check out the event, my post on it ishere.

The packaging of the Stay Flawless primer is adorable. I like the simple use of colour and although it is very different from the packaging of other Benefit products it still fits in with the brand really well. The cute polka dot design isn't too over the top and reminds me of the current Topshop packaging, so it seems to be a common theme at the moment. This simple, sleek, professional design really appeals to me.

Moving on to the application, this is completely innovative for a primer. I don't think I have ever seen a primer that you apply directly onto your skin from a stick and for me it has both pros and cons. I love the concept as it makes application quick, easy and mess free but it is a little un-hygienic. For me personally it isn't a huge problem as *touch wood* I am pretty lucky when it comes to spots and blemishes (watch me have a massive break out now I've said that) but for people with acne prone skin especially, I would definitely suggest maybe using a sponge or brush to apply this primer as you don't want to cause spots to spread and application may also be a little more gentle. That being said, I haven't tried this form of application before so I don't know how the product will react to it.

The Stay Flawless Primer is a large pale, beige stick which is transparent on application so is suitable for all skin types. You apply it by simply twisting up the bottom of the tube and gliding it directly onto cleansed but dry skin. The formulation feels cool on application, is pretty much scent free and has a smooth texture which isn't greasy or sticky. We were advised at the event to apply your foundation immediately after the primer so this product is very convenient for people who don't want to hang around waiting for products to be absorbed/dry/set etc.

The idea behind the Stay Flawless primer is that it acts like a magnet (a makeup magnet) to lock your foundation to your skin for up to 15 fresh and flawless hours. It aims to give your skin a natural looking finish as well as making your makeup last longer. I have tried this primer with three different foundations and I have found it works best with the Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening foundation and least well with Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua. With the latter it made my skin quite oily and I found I had to use blotting paper to absorb it on and off throughout the day. I have combination skin so I sometimes suffer from an oily nose but this was my whole face so not a good look. Therefore I would definitely avoid this primer if you have oily skin. Using the Stay Flawless Primer with the Hello Flawless Oxygen foundation, however, was better. My makeup stayed on for a reasonable amount of time, maybe 7-8 hours and my foundation applied nicely over the top. This primer is definitely one which is most suited to those with dry skin.

Unfortunately, my makeup didn't stay on for the full 15 hours but it is good to use on days when that isn't required and it does feel nice to apply a very thin layer of product rather than your typical gel like formulation as it is very light. Despite this, I'm afraid it won't take the place of my Porefessional Primer which definitely still has the number 1 spot for me!

You can buy the Stay Flawless primer from Benefit for £24.50. It is due to be launched on the 29th June in the UK but is already available online by the looks of things.

What do you think of this primer? Are you going to try it?
